The son at the party

My father-in-law was invited to a party by a man he knew. Their wives did not know each other so well. While at the party, my mother-in-law wanted to make conversation with the other woman, but found that she couldn't remember her name. Embarrassing. But a solution to this problem appeared. The party givers had a small son. So she asked him "What's your mummy's name?"

But small children have a different view of the world; other things on their minds. He cheerfully replied "Smellybum."

"Ha ha! What's her REAL name?"

"Smellybum!"

"No, but what's she really called?"

"Smellybum!"

I don't know if she ever found out the mother's name.
