When we went to see Rich Hall

Some friends and I got tickets to see the US comedian, Rich Hall. He was appearing in Dorking, a small town in Surrey. Dorking's claim to fame is the Dorking chicken.

As they haven't got much else to crow about(!) they put up a big statue of a cockerel on a roundabout at one end of town. It's quite a cheerful thing, and sometimes gets seasonal additions, like a flower bonnet at Easter.

So we drive to Dorking, and Rich Hall gives a good show. At one point he's talking about being on tour and places he's been. He has some stories about strange things places are famous for. He asks the audience "What's Dorking famous for?"

Someone shouts "Cock!"

Everyone in the room is laughing, except Rich Hall. Someone in the front row had to explain to him what had just happened.
