I didn't get what this was until I looked at the picture. In England, that would be called Yorkshire pudding, and it's a savoury thing that you serve with a roast dinner. You'd normally make it in a baking tray instead of a pan with a handle, which might save burns. If you make little ones in a cup cake tray they're called popovers. Or if you put sausages in the batter mix, it's called Toad in the Hole. And I have put sausage pieces in the mix for popovers and called it Tiny Toads. All of these variants are delicious with gravy. Nom nom.
