Re: Documenting Projects (and a question)

Nico described the kind of stuff he makes, and said...

I think, most definitely so. One thing I notice about Gemini is that I read about things that I have no interest in because the author is expressing their enthusiasm. I've read about people restoring old bicycles, or unicycling to work. I've read about people generating landscapes for (um, I forget what for), and that person who described everything in his house and what was wrong with it. People are writing on Gemini because they have stuff in them that they want to write. No one's doing it for fame or success, likes or ad revenue. It's a passion project to keep a gemlog, and we should all write what we feel moved to write.

People mostly like dialogue and feeling connected. Gemini doesn't readily provide that. I think that you have to take a leap of faith. Decide that if you want to say it, it's worth saying. Even when I've skipped a post because the topic really wasn't my thing, I've never thought it was too boring to post. And if your post seems different to the sort of stuff that you usually read on Antenna or wherever, even more reason to write it.
