Kids can be picky eaters, but with ours we'd try to deal with it like this.

"Dad, I don't like broccoli."

"OK, but you have to eat some of it."

[tiny amount goes in]

"One more mouthful."

[a bit more goes in]

"OK, well done. That'll do."

The theory is that if you keep doing this, by the tenth time they've got used to it and they don't mind eating it.


So my kids were broccolied into liking broccoli.


I've been broccoli-ing Gemininauts into taking notice of Formula 1. Hmm... it probably works better on children.
