Russian GP 🏁

Wet qualifying was fun as ever, with the top three places (Norris, Sainz, Russell) all being a surprise. Russell picked up about 7 seconds on his final lap, which is insane.

In the race, Russell held back a lot of people who unsurprisingly passed him in the pit stops. Sainz was very cross when his team said he should be in the top 5 - well, it wasn't going well for him, but tyre choice got him into third eventually. Norris should have won. When the rain started he gave an emphatic NO to changing tyres. Oh dear.

So Hamilton got his 100th win. It's impressive, but diluted by the increased number of races. In the 50s there were 7 races a year, and now it's 23.

Pleased to see Alice Powell doing punditry on Channel 4.
