Pandemic takeaways

One small thing that I've learned during lockdown is what it means to "avoid someone like the plague". It means "ignore other people - no need to practice social distancing". While out for my allowed exercise over that last year, people have often come so close to me when they passed that I had to step off the path so they didn't barge into me. On some occasions I've resorted to pretending to cough.

I've also had more take away food. I've ordered it through Deliveroo, one of the companies that's making money from exploiting workers in the gig economy. I'm not happy with this, although counting the orders wouldn't get me off the fingers of one hand, so I'm not contributing to the problem *much*. And yes, that's a lot more take away food than I'd normally have.

Spotify has been trying to play me songs by Van Morrison who turns out to be a Covid denier. He's done some excellent songs, but I'd heard before that he wasn't altogether a lovely person and now he proved it. I'm not listening to anyone who puts out an album of Covid denial. And I reserve my right to stop listening to his other stuff as well. That'll teach him!
