Last times

If there is a first time to something, then there is exactly one last time.

For every song you like, you will listen to it one last time.

Do you draw? You will put down your pencil or close your paint tube one last time.

Do you write? You will write or type one last character (which one?!).

For every person you meet, there will be a last time you come across this person, and you may not know it's the last time.

Hey, you don't have to see this negatively! Sometimes, remembering that nothing lasts eternally makes me extremely grateful to be a witness of its traversal of space-time. Especially people, wow! There are so many incredible people in this world and I met some of them, and I surely will again, and as I won't know for sure when the last encounter will be, I will focus on their presence with all my heart and soul.

Months ago I was thinking about the last man alive in the whole universe. Will it even be a man, what secrets does evolution keep? Does humanity have to stop at some point or is there no hard limit to time? I was reading a fun article on how to destroy the Earth and it seems we may, at many points in the distant future, have a hard time to survive as a species anyway, but that's like billions of years from now.
