2021-08-24 - Twitter prodding

Twitter's web ui has changed recently so as to require a login to view threads or follow inter site links. I am pretty sure the idea is to make their tracking more accurate and reliable. I expect they track unlogged in users via IP addr and cookies, but that doesn't satisfy them anymore. So, kind of like YouTube, they are engineering me to either give up all pretence of anonymous browsing or stay off their platform altogether. I hope I stay off as I don't want to evolve into hating them. I haven't stayed entirely off YouTube, but I do opt to watch video on odysee.com when I know it is available there.
