2020-11-15 Jonathan Pageau on Joe Rogan's interview of Kanye West

I've run up against claims that Kanye West is a genius and heard that he is married to Kim Kardasian who was somehow related to the OJ Simpson murders. They are supposed to be some of the richest most famous celebrities on offer. I listened to a couple songs that are supposed to be important, one being "Jesus walks". I think I remember seeing video of one of his Sunday Services. Pegesu is excited about him and what he represents. I'm just not, though I do like some things about him and how he presents himself in the Rogan interview. It is refreshing to hear a super wealthy celebrity reverent towards Jesus and God and not hateful of Western Civilization and uncowed about it. I watched about a half hour and had to stop for a break. He speaks in a schizophrenic manic style that I remember from my own time in that state. It is exhausting to keep up with. Proverbs 10:19 came to mind:

> In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin; but he that refraineth his lips is wise.

Rogan impressed me with his lack of condemnatory judgement. He properly, I think, leaves that kind of judgement to God.
