2020-10-26 Ruminations on gemini so far

I am glad to retreat off the WWW and let the principalities and powers of this world struggle over it. I used qutebrowser for a few years, but it has suffered the fate of all efforts to live free in Pharoah's domain. Now I let Google's browser own the web, and I am moved to AV-98 country. Most of the places I visit are still in WWW land, but my home page is in gemini space.

As for gemini itself, I came across this post, and agreed with everything in it.

I would like a natural built in way to separate my private space from my public space, but I think that is a bit of a fool's errand against the more advanced evil actors in the world. I am inclined to put up effective defenses against lazy stupid bad actors, and just let the genius ones win if they want to go to the effort.

I don't know just why this quote from Abraham Lincoln comes to mind, just that it does
