This weekend was forecasted to be hot and sunny and so far that's exactly what it's been, although today is slightly cooler than yesterday's 95 degrees.

Yesterday I got up and took care of a few honey-do's and then headed off on the bike to just ride. I made things up as I went and settled on riding a nice mixture of 2 lane state roads, 1-1/2 lane back country roads, and even the interstate for about 40 miles. I made a single stop for gas and just kept riding and listening to some tunes. It really was an enjoyable ride and although you don't experience the same smells and temperature changes in the summer as you do the spring, I still had the pleasure of riding past more than a few freshly cut fields and at least 1 field recently fertilized. Although it was hot, the humidity was low so it didn't bother me at all and I felt energized after eventually coming home. I think the ride was around 4 hours in total.

I had to get a few things from the grocery store and then decided to take care of some computer course-work before making dinner. After the Mrs. went back to work I cut the yard - just in time before it started raining.

I finished the night out with some more course-work and then headed off to dreamland. Very nice start to the weekend.
