This is what I thought Twitter was going to be. 160-280 characters is too short. I'm pretty sure that was just chosen because of SMS limitations at the time. If I recall correctly, Twitter started out as a phone number you text your tweets to, didn't it?
Blog/phlog/gemlog posts are too long, tweets are too small. Here's my in-between.
