favorite tarot books:

"the tarot: history, symbolism, divination" by robert m. place - a great introduction to the history of tarot and traditional way of reading the marseille decks

"the easiest way to learn the tarot - ever" by dusty white - very conversational but chock full of exercises to teach you how to read, how to join up the cards, read in between the lines etc.

"a walk through the forest of souls" by rachel pollack - one of the greats, simultaneously deep and playful, a series of experiments and novel ways to view tarot and its functions
