I seem to attract the strangest problems and people and I feel like I burden everybody with it.

This is the second time some guy in my major, who I’ve never personally met, has stood from afar and just watched me, wide-eyed. He seems too shy to approach. He just stared and stared, and I looked back a few times, and smiled when he slightly waved, but he never budged.

Just stared.

And stared.

In the moment, I didn’t know what to do, so I pretended it wasn’t happening. I continued talking to Anaïs as if he wasn’t there. I told her and Pugsley about it after he was gone. Pugsley got up and looked around for me, and didn’t find him.

I don’t know why I didn’t say anything, or why I didn’t move. I guess I didn’t want to judge. There was a gentleness about him. It was like locking eyes with a ghost. I know he didn’t mean to scare me, but he did.

I feel cursed.
