Datalog

12:30p

I've been using Logseq for note-taking since 2022, and have somehow managed to never bother learning how to actually write a Datalog query. I've got a few searches in mind that would be much easier to perform if I only knew what I was doing, so, here I am doing a short online primer for Datalog.

My initial thoughts:

Is this clojure? Or just clojure-adjacent?

I think this is a form of graph database, but I'm not sure

Maybe I'm just a relational database stan, but I'm not sure what schema-free really buys me

I think I understand why this database was chosen for Logseq

Okay so this allows for pretty easy integration of user-defined functions, which is pretty cool, but certainly not unique to datalog.
