What's up? 2022 edition

I wrote a note titled “what's up” one year ago. It feels like a weird time to provide news — I am also asking YOU, reader, for news — because it's a busy time for many, preparing for the summer and it's too hot to sit on the computer and think straight, etc. But here I am!

There are a bunch of notes on the capsule that stayed in WIP state for a while, with a bunch of others published but not added to the gemlog because… I don't know. It's been weird times and harder than usual to get into the writing state. Several of my close relationships evolved a lot in unexpected ways since last summer, but I feel in love and I feel loved so it's OK! 🥰

ali li pona! olin e jan mute li nasa, taso ni li pona tawa mi.

tenpo seli la, o moku telo. tenpo sina ike la, o lape, o toki tawa jan pona sina. tenpo ali la, o olin e jan pona sina! 💕

Anyway I managed to complete a bunch of notes.

Here are some notes about crafting some stuff:

Crafting deodorant

Crafting detergent

Crafting toothpaste

There is also the first note, in what I hope will be a long series, on reusing dead laptop parts:

Reusing a laptop CD/DVD drive

I spent a lot of time reading and watching stuff about plants. I don't think I have interesting things to say (yet!) but I found that looking for edible plants in the wild can be very entertaining so I started my saladelog (in French, sorry!), a tinylog with short stories about eating plants:

Le saladelog

Notes about other technical shenanigans:

DNS adventures

I'm also actively looking for a job so my year of unemployment is about to come to an end hopefully in the next weeks. I don't want to work when I'm only starting to find my own pace, but I need money so I can buy a piece of soil somewhere and grow tomatoes and basil on it!

(last year note on unemployment)

I still read some gemlogs regularly. I wish ~acdw, ~lel and others will come back at some point. I mostly use my own Android browser, that is complete enough for my needs but not for release, duh… I promise you I'll try to get back on it sooner than later.
