It has been a cold, wet and gloomy spring. That changed two weeks ago. Rain stopped, clouds went away. Sunshine all day. Temperatures went up from around 11 degrees Celsius to about 20 degrees, which is a more normal temperature for this time of year if you're living on a latitude of 52.3065592. There is this moment each year when we open the back door to the garden and don't close it for the rest of the day. That happens when temperatures outside are the same or above room temperature. This effectively doubles our living space. We have lunch and dinner outside and we have a hammock at the back of the garden. It is the yearly escape from our house. Lasting a couple of months.
