The Shivering Truth is an American adult stop-motion animated surrealist sketch comedy television series created by Vernon Chatman and directed by Chatman and Cat Solen. The show is produced by Solen with PFFR and ShadowMachine. The Shivering Truth premiered on December 10, 2018 on Adult Swim, with the pilot episode having been released online on May 22, 2018 on the Adult Swim website.
The Shivering Truth is a miniature propulsive omnibus clusterbomb of painfully riotous daymares all dripping with the orange goo of dream logic. A series of loosely linked emotional parables about stories within tales that crawled out of the deepest caverns of your unconscious mind and became lovingly animated in breath-slapping stop motion - in other words, it is the truth.
Finally some decent WTF television. The first time watching this, the plan was to fold some laundry and watch an episode or 2. I failed; The laundry did not get folded that evening, as I watched the complete first season in a single session. For 66 minutes I was completely zombified ... sitting ... watching ... mumbeling "What the Fuck" every minute or so. Each episode is an 11 minute BrainFuck rollarcoaster. The IMDB Summary is the only correct way to summarise this cultural masterpiece. That being said I would only recommend Season 1 and the Pilot episode, season 2 is not as good, but that's maybe because I had higher excpectations going in.
