Best review ever?

Today I got a watch as Christmas present. I stopped using wrist clocks around my first year of Uni -long ago, don't ask!-, because I always was either on a computer or had my mobile phone, so the watch felt redundant.

Now the mobile phones are ridiculously large. True that they do way more things, but getting them out of a pocket to check the time is now a bit awkward. Probably not the end of the world, but I think I have scratched a couple of screens by dropping the phone when checking the time. Ouch.

But then with the pandemic and working from home, turns out I'm *at home* and likely to not have my phone on a pocket and, sometimes, I'm not even sitting on my desk in front of my computer. We have a couple of clocks around, but the children play with them and change the time -a clock with the wrong time, madness!-. I got tired of setting the time, almost daily, and instead of fighting the boys I decided to get a watch.

This is not the first my attempt, thought. I tried one of those cheap-ish smart watches for fitness, after buying one for my wife -she loves it!-; but I made a fatal mistake buying it with touchable screen instead of using one side button -like the one my wife has-. The screen was too sensitive and it was triggering the screen or changing the watch setup accidentally -I guess the equivalent of butt-dialing with your phone-. Besides you had to charge it probably too frequently and required an app for my phone that wasn't great; so I decided it was causing more problems than it solved.

Just read this review of the CASIO F-91W by TomH28 in 2017:

I think I had a previous iteration of that one some time ago. At the end I decided for the CASIO W-800H-1AVDF, same spirit, but a bit fancier. The watch claims the battery should last 10 years. I'm already happy!
