Fortunately I have not been furloughed during this coronavirus pandemic but it does sometimes feel that way. I work in a biology lab so most of my daily work requires some kind of access to a wet-lab bench. The admin people expect that we can sit at home and do data analysis or fellowship applications but, with my paper only just recently published, I don't have any more data to anaylse and I've already applied for the only fellowship opening which I am qualified for; being a non-citizen automatically disqualifies me from a lot of UK and EU/EEA funding, and being so OLD now limits my scope further.
So I am effectively in that dream job of being paid to do nothing! Which is partly why this server exists in the first place ... it was something to do.
