gemini (and geminispace) is cool. when i am on my free time, i just open a client on whatever i have at the moment (i use lagrange on my main tower, phaedra on my phone) and i read a lot of different things on many capsules. it is indeed the most efficient way of retrieving info w/o having to go thru the web, which makes my devices crash/throttle (both my phone and PC are old, and they were never "Top of The Line(tm)" devices when they were new).

i love exploring the Geminispace, but i'm not sure if i want to share the things of my own to everyone. it's not a "can't do it, too hard" problem -- i could even self-host my stuff if my ISP didn't suck -- i just think that i wouldn't add much to it anyways. none of the people i know really cares about the things i do creatively, and writing (specially in a language you don't speak natively) is hard when you don't have many interessing things happen to you.

i am also not a programmer, so i can't build services to offer them in Gemini, and i do not have free time to learn at least the basics (my only free day is Sunday, and i like to be unplugged from all tech to do art or go to a park).

yeah, i know, it's more of a "me" problem, but i don't mind not doing anything at least for now. maybe in the near future i'll do some cool capsule that i will be proud of, but that is a thing that only time will tell.

I encourage you to write in the language that feels most comfortable to you. Geminispace could use many more non-English pages!

Also, it's difficult to gauge what people in general find interesting. It is true that in Geminispace you will likely not get much immediate feedback on what you decide to share, so it doing it out of external motivations is not sustainable. My advice is to write about what interests yourself the most, even if it seems like the most boring topic to others.

Hi yuui! I subscribed to your capsule! Looking for your posts!

> Hi which makes my devices crash/throttle

Thats true!

Add content to gemini but do not focus on Gemini. We need many other stuff, we need about food, about hobbies, about geek projects. Seems a lot of stuff on Gemini is about gemini which is self referencing and a bit pointless.

You don't have to force yourself to do anything, in the same vein you don't have to discourage yourself from anything either. There's something for everybody. If you so choose, I'd happily read what stories you put up, or poetry, or whatever type of writing you do. You can practice posting via the flounder.online service which has a feed for people who update their pages. Speaking of, you also don't need to go out of your way to attach anything from yourself to what you write, or even vice versa, or even furthermore nothing of what you write even really needs to identify with anything familiar as long as it's paced, well-written, and expressive you can write whatever, even stream-of-conscious shorts.

Hi, Spaniard here, there are a few now English capsules out there. Some gemini clients even auto-translate decently enough, resulting I have people reading my Spanish stuff who don't know my language. Posting here is good enough too :)
