2024 will likely be my Fading of the Elves year.

I've spent the last couple of years really involved in a handful of online communities.

I've also spent a good bit of time analyzing my values, where I spend my time and money, versus where I ultimately want to be doing those things. And I find there's some gaps.

If I intend to spend more of my time and money doing things locally, buying things at local markets, and getting to know my neighbors and people around my area...

Why am I adminning a Discord or moderating another? Why am I moderating a sizable Fediverse instance?

No good answer.

So, like the elves, I will eventually fade away. Time to be done.
