finding footing

Still getting my feet under me in geminispace?

I've added/moved on to having a capsule (of sorts?) on smol.pub rather than posting a bare gemlog on gemlog.blue ... smol.pub's setup is basically allowing me to make a simple capsule and a gemlog, but it's also viewable on http and on gopher, which feels nice. Small is small? Which I like. And being able to show what I'm (slowly) doing to friends who aren't using gemini (yet?) is also nice.

I made an account on Yestercities but I absolutely don't understand how the uploading works, even their Titan uploader, which is entirely on me ...

I last breathed on linux a quarter-decade ago and was workmanlike at best at the time; and I'm currently using Android and Windows to access geminispace. It's what I have access to and can use without panicking. >.>;;

But so far, smol.web is very comfortable and feels like it's suiting my needs? Like how being here is also comfortable, but with the addition of how I've been feeling a call for some kind of small/simple site -- now, a capsule/site -- since early last year or even longer.

I just feel like I'm stumbling in a place not quite meant for me sometimes >.> and I need to work on that.

(I also need to hunt up capsules I like so I can make a little link garden-gallery of my own; I'll get there ...)

I think you're doing just fine; take your time and explore and learn. A lot of us will be here in the long term, taking it slow.
