AQI is hitting 220s in Chicago today, supposedly "worst air quality in the world" at this very moment. Not as bad as NYC a couple weeks ago. I'm just confused and frustrated how I'm getting more wildfire smoke in Chicago than I did during my time in San Jose and San Francisco

It’s super hazy here in Columbus, Ohio. AQI is 156 right now.
I'm in the upper midwest, and there have been some days recently that were absurdly smokey - at least one day it was like a light fog. Lotta health advisories coming out. Smoke + super high temps = not a great time to get everywhere via bicycle :(
Here's hoping these more extreme climate events help to open up some more people's eyes. Or at least make distorting the narrative that much harder for the reality deniers...
