A Shopping-Free Christmas

One thing to be grateful for - I've reached an age where I no longer have to worry about Christmas presents.

I don't want anything. I have everything I need. My partner feels the same. My kids are old. My house is full of boxes of stocking stuffers of years gone by - unwrapped, hugs exchanged, stuff thrown into a box for me to sort and try to get rid of years later.

Happy holidays to all of you.

So glad you could get rid of the extreme consumerism caused by the Christmas season. I wished the world could finally learn the reason why we are told Christmas is so "magical": because it "magically" makes billionaries a lot richer.

I seriously wish the Pope would limit the number and expense of Christmas presents

same here: when i see people going crazy about spending and buying, i do not want to participate it.

my satisfaction comes from some creative processes, film photography is one. it is expensive and i dont have money recently so i stopped it. we only buy things to eat and petrol, and pay for house loan.

i am getting my satisfaction by working on some libre software programs or just tinkering. i think it is not bad, programs maybe even more useful than my photos.

As an old hippy I am content with what I have. As you wrote

> "I have everything I need."

I feel the same way.

It is all about contentment.

Right before the apostle Paul wrote to Timothy

> "the love of money is the root of all evils"

is this:

> "But if we have food and shelter, we will be satisfied with that." - Amen ๐Ÿ‘
