I was mostly AFK last week, as we were on a vacation trip with the family. Let's say it was... eventful? Our 11mo soon-to-be-toddler wasn't really pleased with any of it. I suppose relaxation isn't really on the table when traveling with small children. 😓

It'll take a few days to recover from the trip, but this is a good opportunity to catch up on TV shows I've missed in recent months, like Last of Us and The Mandalorian S3.

Travelling with young children can be stressful for sure. Reminds me of the time I had to fly on a plane with my 3 month old and my 2 year old by myself. Good times, haha. Things got easier once the kids were around 3-6. Now it's fun travelling with them because they are so excited to see new places.

@kelbot Argh, that sounds nightmarish. Our eldest is now 4, and he was certainly very excited about everything. That was of course also part of the problem as he wanted to go and do things non-stop.

Providing these new experiences for the kids is great and important, too, but boy is it draining.

I know the feeling! We had some tough times with planes, for example I remember one time our plane "boarded" before it was ready--in order, I think, that they not have to compensate us for it being late--and we stood crammed onto the steps at the gate for half an hour, holding the baby.

I always feel sympathy towards parents on the same flight as me with young kids. Don't worry if they're noisy! People who want peace should have noise cancelling headphones or earplugs anyway... :)

I hope you enjoy The Last of Us! We certainly did.

@Addison The Last of Us was awesome. I've been planning to play the game for several years but haven't found the time, which means I got to experience this story for the first time. Being a father of two now, it definitely resonates with me.

I've also been listening to the official commentary podcast, which is quite interesting btw.

As with any movie/TV adaptation, the experience is quite different compared to a game, so if I manage to find some spare time I'm probably still going to play the game, too.
