I've been seeing a lot of new folks hopping on Station lately and asking how to do certain things (seems to be the first social stop for most). I know we have /s/Gemini and a few official spots to get started but I keep coming back to an official HOWTO for those wanting details on setting a capsule, working with client certs, how cgi works and how to code it, setting up a server, and aggregator.

I know all these guides exist across Gemini but I think a well known central spot would be good.

I don't know what the solution is, and I think figuring things out is half of the experience, but it could help retain some newbies.

I mostly link people to the FAQ here: gemini://gemini.circumlunar.space/docs/faq.gmi

It doesn't cover *all* of those topics in great detail, but it does cover a lot of information.

@ruby_witch completely agree, especially with solderpunk's rewrite, it's a good starting point for anyone.

How CGI works is something already very well documented before and also not specific to Gemini, so maybe that's why you can't find it at the same place. But would be nice to have some tutorials about it more directed to Gemini. I know Tomasino did some YT videos about the topic and also have some content in his capsule.
