Obligatory Intro Post

Hi all. I hope everyone's been well on Gemspace and the entirety of Gemini.

This here's my intro post. Here, I go under FlipperZero ('cause I'm a tool pff. what a gimmick, rite?), but everywhere else I'm UserFX. Like anyone, I've had my own concerns over centralization here or staying decentralized. Bottomline, it's all a double edged sword afaik, and this slice of pie is sm0l, like-minded, and very expressive and personalized. Essentially, It's all good, no matter what anyone chooses to do in this expanse of the net.

I deal in music and dabble in amateur computing. This decade, I decided to fuse the two together for myself. Before, I mostly focused on music and low key kept up w/ computers and the web. The web got boring and bloated, so I decided to retreat to avenues like here, bbs', and smallnet webpages.

Well, I’m gonna join the train and do my intro post as a comment to your intro point! Hehe, just kidding! Welcome (albeit I’m nobody to be welcoming since this is literally my first interaction I’m Bubble!) but I’m with you with my concerns regarding centralization and all that stuff. I do think that many of us are scared enough from big tech social media that maybe we can avoid the same mistakes. I think bubble is not intentional made to be addictive nor particularly beneficial for hijacking attention to sell it, so that’s a good start!

But I digress. Welcome!

@benj TYSM for the warm welcome! Right back at you too, lolol. No digression here, bud, I opened it up for discussion (speakin of, I totally missed a "no matter how you slice it" w/ the pie analogy!! D'oh.) Exactly my point, tho, everybody on this protocol is very philosophical in their approach so I doubt there'll be any proliferating or exploitation here. Btw, have we run into eachother before? Were you the capsule featured on one of the smolzines? Regardless, glad to run into ya! Hope to hear more soon

BTW I think I -have- run into your gem server gemlog before. I have it bookmarked as resource for being able to cross-reference and start my own server once I get to it!

For now, I also have several pages up on hosts w/ userfxnet.flounder.online and flipperzero.cities.yesterweb.org . Yours has a cool structure to it that's easy to look around with, I dig it.
