An old friend hit me up after years of silence through text message around the exact same time I reopened my Facebook account in an attempt to reconnect with people from my past. Unrelated 'Coincidences' can be very on the nose at times. In other news, I finally saved 3k in the bank, the minimum emergency fund recommended for nomadic living. Ideally I would like 6k for a comfy Efund but its already comforting to know I have a little in the bank just in case.

The difference between 17 yo me and 24 yo me seems to be a fundamental appreciation for both the real value of money and the real value of my mental/physical wellbeing. I am no longer a dollar chaser killing myself for the rat race with no real goal in sight. Instead I value my health and human experience equally with my finances. money is less and less valuable every year, my well being and over all quality of life matters more and more. We don't need a whole lot to feel in a better place it seems.

Being content with your material income, but not knowledge brought me so much joy. Also knowing what to do in life. I know, that I need to learn, so I do. My learning topics shifted from trivia, politics and history towards more practical side. It's good to able to wake up and say what you are happy about. Even if it is the minor details of life. It brings even more joy. I am happy I found this awesome post and that you are at a better place!
