Protoweb Brings Back The 1995 Web

Have any of you heard of the Protoweb project yet? I hadn't until just this morning, and I thought it may be interesting to some people on here.

The goal is to basically take old sites from the 95/96 era that have some dead functionality through the Wayback Machine (broken API's, streams that no longer exist, missing files, etc) and repopulate them one by one to produce a fully functional web from the mid-90's that's accessible by browser proxy.

If you don't mind the https link, I recommend checking out the YouTube video to see some really cool examples of this in action, such as Weather.com with its 90's interface but serving up to date information. It's pretty wild!

Okay this is really, really cool, thanks for sharing! Unfortunately the ProtoWeb Browser didn't run in Wine for me, but RetroZilla did. RetroZilla + ProtoWeb feels just like when I was a kid.

You might like this too: http://theoldnet.com Internet Archive, but workable even old JSless browsers.
