Maybe not strictly art, but nevertheless an interesting approach to text-only graphics for people using a Mac (like me): the new app called monodraw lets you create graphics made of text. I’ll certainly try it out, and maybe this is of interest for someone here. If so, please leave a comment.

I had previously tried it out, the UI is definitely slick and I love seeing a good native macOS app. That being said, the toolset seems specifically geared towards drawing unicode flow charts which is a niche within a niche.

Yeah, as mozz said, it really is a flowchart editor before anything else. I like it still, you can do pretty slick things with it, but what annoys me for instance is that by default it doesn't work with loads of Unicodecharacters (something about the default font), and it would be amazing to have a wider selection of default patterns and templates / snippets to use.
