This is my first pic using the amiga ascii art font & character set. Amiga is a popular category in the underground BBS art scene. It's interesting (to me) for a couple of reasons.

The amiga charset is essentially latin-1, so you get access to "extended-ascii" characters like (¯), (°), and (²). These high characters are sorely lacking in 7-bit ascii and are helpful for drawing interesting curves and such.

There are no block-drawing characters (like (░), (█), so amiga art is typically made in a line-art style, which is less popular compared to ANSI art that uses IBM code page 437.

The font (topaz) extends slashes and pipes all the way to the edges of the cell, so adjacent cells appear as a continuous line.

Lord Nikon is amazing! I wish I could copy/paste some of the art as characters... Is there a way to translate the art to ansi terminal-compatible data?

You can download them as .ans files, which are essentially just text + ANSI escape sequences. There are some tools out that will convert them into utf-8 and insert line breaks every 80 characters. But they aren't perfect in my experience, sometimes you will encounter weird ANSI escape sequences in the art that breaks on modern terminal emulators.

This is so good. As others have said, you've really captured the movement beautifully. And doing it on Amiga is even better!
