My TFT gaming is on hold right now while I set things up to handle the changing schedules of the players. I’m going to run the Barrowmaze megadungeon on nights when people are missing, with everybody having to be out of the dungeon at the end of the session, so next time when it’s a different group who can play it doesn’t matter.

I still hope to run a more focused main campaign when everyone can make it. Right now I'm planning on running the Savage Worlds Flash Gordon.

I'm using Labyrinth Lord with Advanced Edition Companion to run Barrowmaze. I thought about using TFT, but Barrowmaze's theological underpinnings make TFT a bad fit for it. I think I'll do something in the West Marches style with TFT instead.

How did the campaign go after these two months? I switched to real-time over my last campaign and I'm never going back. I'm convinced that this is the only way to schedule RPGs, so that whoever pitches up on the day plays. Tabletop RPGs are the only hobby I know of that cannot operate without a six-month commitment, and which take a two-week break every time a few rain checks happen.

It's been kinda frustrating. Switching to running a megadungeon and running with whatever players show up, as long as there are at least two (I let them run 2 characters each if there are only 2 players) helps, schedules still conflict. Right now I'm trying to recruit more players. We'll see.

And I would like to get back to playing more TFT. Sigh.
