BLOWLAMP

for what it's worth, while it's in the Merriam Webster, BLOWLAMP is very much a British usage and never heard in the US. We call that a blowtorch

Although a blowtorch, in my mind, is a big rig with gas tanks, while a blowlamp implies a handheld device

that makes sense, but I've always included both under "blowtorch" as "blowlamp" has never been in my vocabulary 😅
