PDAs, Personal Digital Assistants. I love them and use my Palm Pilot every day and even read gemini posts on it. Anyone else into PDAs?

Your posts have made me go dig my PDAs up. I never had one during their era but I've gotten a few as largely thrift store finds since. My favorite is the Sony Clie SJ33 I have, which I'm currently charging. I also have a Palm Tungsten E2 which I think was a rival line to the Clie, which I haven't done much with (do I even have a charger for this thing? I dont' remember now, maybe that's why). I have another PDA complete in box from a flea market but I'm not sure where it is right now so I can't tell you which one, I feel like i couldn't get it to boot.

Well, I have an old Palm V second hand and wanted to play with it, since these devices fascinated me back in the day, but couldn't get a hold of them back in the day. I'm all open to ideas to use it more. I have found that it is faster for note taking than my phone (I even got the foldable keyboard!) and some utilities are presenting themselves as viable alternatives to the smartphone. Specially, quick access and simplicity.

@ResetReboot Yes, that's exactly how I feel. It is still superior to a smartphone for a number of common tasks. Just faster and simpler to get to your calendar, notes, todo list. For things like that that are very in the moment or they pass you buy it's perfect. I use mine for my calendar, todo list, I play games. If you want some ideas for different useful apps and things I have a whole page on my capsule.

@kelbot In fact, I just used your page to get a better reader than PalmReader. The TiBR I had is an odd version that seems no one bothered to crack, and since my Palm is the V (no x!) and memory is limited, TiBR in its normal version is smaller and more featureful and faster. And yes, I'm using your script to fetch from Antenna and get PDBs to read offline. It is amazing to be able to do that.
