My new (to me) Tungsten T3 arrived! But the battery is shot, I really should have ordered a new battery when I ordered the T3, but I thought maaaybe it would be okay and I’d save $15. Oh well, another week until I can use it off the HotSync cradle, guess I’ll just start loading up apps! I really love the sliding case/display feature of this model.

i have t3 too! i got it from a friend, but he didn't have the cable. then some time later i managed to get a cable from internet. only to realize that battery is dead. not sure which battery is it and how hard would it be to change it.

do you run palmos on it? do you aware of possibility to run floss os on it?

@maxwelld I think there were some Linux on Palm projects, but I actually really like the default Palm OS. Had a simplicity that is lost these days.

The battery replacement looks to be very easy, just a couple screws. New battery cost me about $15. The ease of replacement is why I bought the T3!

How does the screen read in sunlight?

@ResetReboot haven’t been able to take it outside yet (battery dies instantly off the cradle). Will follow up when the new battery arrives Monday.

@ResetReboot new battery in and have used it outside. On max brightness the screen is legible, but still dim. I'd say good enough for most tasks.
