It may be good to not have this space appear on the all posts by default. It may be better to have people "opt-in" to seeing posts from here on the home-page instead of being exposed to them automatically.
I know there is a button to mute this space but as many people may not want to see this, it would be better to not have to go through the hastle unessesarily.
Please share your thoughts! :)

I would say, IF the title of a post is the sort of thing that could get you in trouble browsing at work, then it might make sense to mute by default.
However, the mere presence of a "NSFW" tag is not an invitation, doesn't imply you're participating in it, and doesn't automatically mean that something is vulgar or immoral, only that it's not considered appropriate in certain environments.
If you don't want to view it, don't. Generally, the content you take in is your responsibility.
@zetamacs sure, I agree, but it's not just the title. There's text preview as well. Rather than worry about what's showing up in the preview and what's not, might it not just be easier to mute by default?
@satch Maybe, but I think what bothers me is that it feels decidedly like censorship rather than concern.
I'll admit that this is a slippery-slope argument, but if we mute this space by default, what kind of precedent might that set? Will it be confined to this space, or might others follow, and for different reasons?
From the viewpoint of moderation policy, I see no reason to mute s/NSFW by default, because it's all text with no images appearing on their own. Considering a "work-safe" environment, having a window of plain text open is not problematic. (If you're concerned that someone is coming over and reading your screen, perhaps reconsider what you're doing and where. 😉)
From a social viewpoint, subspaces that don't appear on the front page (by default or at all) are significantly hindered as they are being attention-starved. This is fine for very specialized subspaces like issue trackers, but otherwise it's better to not play favorites.
From a technical viewpoint, Bubble doesn't have a way to apply per-user mutes by default. It would take some nontrivial implementation work to add such a subspace flag, have it be applied to users appropriately, and make the related UI changes.
It’s Gemini. It’s not like there are pictures. Cannot imagine the NSFW text preview to be worse than the titles of some spam emails that appear in your work email box.
@zetamacs I definately agree with @satch 's point about the preview. I am not a fan of curated content, I think the 'all feed' should be genuine representation of what is being posted on the board it is a very refreshing alternative to the modern social network.
However, I would argue that as many people who do not want to or enjoy being exposed to explicit content (for one reason or another, trauma, religious convictions, age) and it is an easy change to either mute NSFW by default or to have a "show NSFW spaces" opt-in filter.
@skyjake thats fair from a technical standpoint! If its too much work to implement a 'NSFW subspace' filter thats totally okay. We can mute these things ourselves if we dont want to see them.
Just thought that I would throw this out there and see what everyone thought!
@OliverBrotchie I hope that I'm well-enough received in saying this, my point wasn't to accuse you of trying to censor anything - only that there is a fine line to tread between concern for safety and censorship. I apologize if that was poorly said.
I myself don't seek out NSFW content for a few personal reasons, but I also believe firmly in freedom of expression. While I'm not in favor of having that content right in front of my face all the time without my consent, I recognize the human rights hazards of trying to 'shut it off' for myself *and* others.
Boy, this subject can quickly become a minefield when people aren't committed to being respectful, can't it?
@zetamacs yeah all very good points! Absolutely, I find that the kindness and guiness of people of here to be quite wonderful.
Perhapse another angle in favour of filtering NSWF would be the state of modern popular buletan board style pages today which are flooded with NSFW content on main pages. Perhapse because of how popular it is, I feel that it can sometimes push out normal, interesting and unique content which is what makes Gemini so great!
I find the whole 'taboo' around sex issue distasteful. Killing people in horrible ways is not a problem, but consenting adults doing whatever is NSFW. I am so glad to not be in charge of people these days. Work is work, and anything that's not work should definitely be unsafe, unless you want to lose your job. That includes porn, but as far as I am concerned, updating your status or checking what your friends are eating is not work. Things have gotten really nuts. Leave your phone in your bag if you are working for me!
Also, this forum has been really tame so far!
