Have read the whole thing. Brings me some thoughts about history. I think Apollo missions succeeded because they have unlimited time to test and prepare things. The counterexample is Korolyev N1 rocket, that was ordered to be ready to exact date, it is a long story.
Where is this "IRI debacle" happening?
