If I wiped my instance database (so all users, posts and follows are lost), then re-created my user, is there any mechanism (a FEP?) to make all of my followers re-follow me? Otherwise, the rebuilt instance doesn't know who's following me and won't send my posts.

I think users following you will still follow you if that is based on the username and hostname of your site, not sure about private follows, likely you have to approve them again

@alexlehm The follower's instance thinks the user is following me, but my instance thinks nobody is following me, so my followers won't receive my posts and won't know they're not really following

@aRubes I tested changes to the setup guide I wrote. I pressed CTRL+r and then Enter to repeat some command but it was the wrong window, and the current directory had a backup of the database from the first days of this instance ... and the command worked :)
