Just out of curiosity: what non-FOSS apps, if any, do you still use on your degoogled phone?

I read somewhere, and took it to heart, that FOSS meant more than a change of ecosystem, but also a change in habits/thinking/behavior. That resonated with me, since I'm aware how deeply philosophical/religious convictions shape a person's life and thinking. Thus, I don't use non-FOSS apps on a degoogled phone. When/where there is no workaround, I have a google phone in a faraday bag that I can turn on to use... since that's at the same address where all my public name-bearing traffic is, hopefully... it keeps everything contained.

Can you use an Element bridge for WhatsApp?

Are the proton apps foss? probably not. I use those.

@requiem You'd have to manually set up the bridge for every chat. There's no good way to do this. I've fiddled around with bridging Discord to Matrix and not only is it a huge pain in the ass, you also lose a lot of functionality.
