RFC: Timezone in Bubble for user profiles?

I was thinking about a user-configurable timezone in Bubble profiles. Not to change the displayed dates, but just to show others the time difference to themselves.

I think Github users can have this on their profiles.

Then other users, who have setup their timezone, can optionally see the time difference in comments, maybe next to the username.

I'm not sure if this goes against the somewhat slower pace in Geminispace compared to the (realtime) web.

What do you think?

I'm not sure if implementing this is worthwhile. Generally speaking, if you need to communicate in somewhat real time with other people it is helpful to know the time differences. But as you say, the pace of Geminispace does not seem to warrant that.

Instead of showing actual time zones/differences, maybe it would be enough to show which continent the user is on (assuming the user has permitted this to show on their profile)? That seems sufficient when figuring out rough time differences, and it is also a bit more privacy-respecting than knowing the accurate time difference.

That's the answer of an experienced developer right there :)
