Hiya guys, I've been trying to read Piers Ploughman (unmodernized) but the archaic language is very tiring and it's hard for me to stay motivated. Any tips?

I found that audio books help me plow through dense text.

Is it essential that you read it? Personally when something is just not enjoyable or I find myself distracted often, I acknowlege that I am not interested (at least at this moment) and do/read something else...

Well, it's not essential, but I want to read it and I do enjoy the story, plus it's cool to learn more middle english, but it's exceptionally hard to keep track of story because of the language, and at times I feel lost as to where I am in the plot, and that is what's kind of tiring about it, but I do enjoy it nonetheless.

It sounds like you may need to take notes as you go, perhaps an index card per character where you can track development or interaction (and index each point to page number), or something like that, whatever fits the problem space. Just an idea...
