more dreams

sometimes the waking world is more pleasant than dreams. it doesn't happen too often anymore, but I do recall that being the case all the time, way back when.

today's dreams were shot through with anxiety and uncertainty. I don't recall much of the visual subject matter all too well, but that's not often the case anyway.

sometimes the way you feel gets taken away from you. previously nice things become corrupted and distorted by your own perception. that is one of the brain's most hateful tricks, as it makes it hard to even miss the past in remembrance.

dreams are a huge candidate for that sort of thing, since they can make you see and feel just about anything.

sometimes dreams, while not outright nightmares, can be just as bad as nightmares, in subtler and more insidious ways.

fuck dreams, y'all.
