An abbreviated daily ride today, although it was warm it was so windy that it just wasn't much fun out there. As a result of the wind, only the big and the boisterous were visible, a few Little ravens[1] flapping about, some Magpies[2] warbling and hurtling along as they turned to go with the wind. There were five or six Galahs[3] clowning around on a lamp-post, screeching at each other as they appeared to fight over who got to perch in what order. A few minutes later some Rainbow lorikeets[4] rocketed past with the wind behind them, and as I got home a couple of Red wattlebirds[5] were still clowning around in the callistemon where they've been all day… and most of the week.
